Accountant IIThe Accountant II plays a crucial role within the Finance and Accounting team. Working with the Accounts Specialist and Controller, they are responsible or involved in all aspects of the accounting cycle, overseeing aspects of transactions, journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting, budgeting, expense processing, and taxes, ensuring the smooth operation of the financial processes.To succeed, you will needWe encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.Essential DutiesMonth-end close reconciliation, transactions, journal entriesSupporting various internal reporting needs, such as KPI reportingEnsuring financial controls and good corporate governance are followedReviewing financial transactions for accuracy and completeness and launching corrective actionsBank reconciliationParticipating in internal auditsIntercompany reporting and transactionsServing as a backup for payrollAdvising on best GAAP or IFRS best practicesServing as a backup for entering and processing AP invoicesServing as a backup for entering and processing AR invoicesWorking with our tax team in reporting and complianceInvestigating budget variancesReviewing compliance with internal procedures and writing or editing work instructions and policiesMonitoring cost accounting, including part standard costs, production rates and standardsManaging and monitoring the reimbursement and expense processesFinancial statement preparation and reportingMin QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.3-5 years' relevant work experience.CompetenciesA strong knowledge of accounting functions including GAAP or IFRSCan professionally and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other employeesExperience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple prioritiesExcellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilitiesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyHigh level of integrity and trustworthinessKnowledge of or experience with ERP or bookkeeping softwareIn return, we offerCulture of trust and accountabilityLifelong learning and career growthInnovation powered by peopleComprehensive compensation and benefitsHealth and well-beingJob locationThis role requires you to work on-site at our office in Bozeman, MT, United States (US).
