Property Accountant

Property AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant with a strong background in the real estate industry to join a team in Newtown Square, PA. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting operational decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential propertiesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsReconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and tenant accountsHandle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including rent rolls and collectionsPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsAssist with budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned propertiesTrack and report on capital expenditures and tenant improvement projectsWork closely with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reportingSupport year-end audit processes and tax reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of property accounting experience within the real estate industry (required)Strong understanding of real estate accounting concepts, including CAM reconciliations and lease structuresExperience managing a portfolio of properties (commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use preferred)Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work onsite in Newtown Square, PA, five days per weekCompensation: $75,000-$80,000 per yearBenefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, visionPTO is offered on an accrual basisPaid Sick Leave where applicable by State law
