J. Kazdan Family Medicine is seeking highly motivated recent college graduates to join our growing primary care team as Clinical Medical Assistants. This position is ideal for students taking 1–2 gap years before advanced healthcare training programs. You will work directly with physicians and nurse practitioners in a busy, well-established family medicine practice serving Broward County for more than 20 years. This is not a typical “rooming patients” position. Our assistants become an important part of patient care, clinical workflow, preventive medicine, and healthcare operations. What You’ll Learn Hands-on patient interaction Clinical workflow in outpatient medicine Preventive care and chronic disease management EMR documentation and messaging (eClinicalWorks) Population health and quality metrics Insurance and referral processes Team-based medical care Real-world primary care operations Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Prepare patients for physician evaluation Document clinical information in the EMR Assist with preventive care outreach Process refill and patient portal requests Perform EKGs and other basic clinical tasks after training Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and office staff Ideal Candidate We are looking for individuals who are: Recent college graduates Pursuing medical school, PA school, nursing school, PT/OT, or other healthcare careers Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills Interested in long-term mentorship and clinical exposure Preferred majors include: Biology Neuroscience Health Sciences Public Health Psychology Exercise Science Kinesiology Related fields No prior medical assistant certification required for the right candidate.
