Overview

A Clinical Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care by supporting both front- and back-office operations. This position offers a hands-on mix of clinical support and patient interaction, including taking vitals and assisting with medication-related clinical tasks in a fast-paced care setting where health education and outreach matter.

Responsibilities

Support front and back office workflows, including greeting and rooming patients

Schedule appointments and assist with clinic coordination as needed

Answer phones and provide responsive patient support

Take vitals and perform routine clinical support tasks

Draw blood and perform phlebotomy/venipuncture procedures

Administer vaccines according to clinical needs

Provide additional clinical support wherever needed and maintain collaboration with center staff

Required Skills

Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship)

Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience

Strong attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively with patients

Strong computer skills

Additional Skills & Requirements

Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

Experience aligned with health education and outreach efforts

Willingness to work in a mission-driven environment focused on health risk reduction and behavior change

Age requirement noted for care setting: ages 10+

Coverage notes include shift availability on 06/22/2026 (07:30 to 16:30) and 06/23/2026 (07:30 to 19:00), and 07/10/2026 (07:30 to 16:30)
