Director Of Seasonal And Toys
The Director of Seasonal and Toys is a senior merchandising leader responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and end-to-end performance of a high-growth, $350M+ business. This role owns the category P&L and drives sustained growth through trend-forward product innovation, bold assortment strategies, and best-in-class execution.
This leader brings strong merchant instincts, proven people leadership, and the ability to identify white-space opportunities while remaining deeply connected to execution. Highly collaborative and commercially driven, the Director of Seasonal partners across the enterprise to deliver relevant assortments, compelling customer experiences, and financial resultswhile building and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Own and deliver the skincare category P&L, driving sales, margin, and share growth across a $350M+ business
- Set and execute a clear, forward-looking category strategy and innovation roadmap grounded in customer and market insight
- Build and evolve a differentiated, trend-right assortment by identifying white-space opportunities, emerging trends, product development, and brands
- Develop and execute integrated promotional and pricing strategies across weekly seasonally relevant programs
- Partner cross-functionally (Inventory, Pricing, Finance, Operations, marketing) to deliver seamless execution
- Continue to elevate product quality while improving price value through sourcing and vendor negotiations.
- Analyze performance and consumer behavior to continuously optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions
- Maintain a strong pulse on the competitive landscape and evolving consumer needs
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while building a strong pipeline of future leaders
- Champion inclusive, customer-obsessed strategies that reflect and serve a diverse customer base
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in product development, category management, or related business leadership roles with full P&L ownership
- Previous experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
- Proven track record of delivering or exceeding financial targets in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of trends and evolving consumer behaviors
- Demonstrated ability to pivot quickly, solve problems in real time, and balance strategy with hands-on execution
- Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and storytelling skillsturning insights into action
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, based on business needs with some possibility of international travel
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
