What You Will Do:

* Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:

* Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms.

* Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, integrate and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and utilization

* Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, to facilitate testing, etc.

* Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code

Qualifications You Must Have:

* Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline [specify when needed for engineering or function] and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.

* Software development experience with Java in a Unix/Linux environment

* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

* Experience with scripting languages such as Python and familiarity with a Javascript framework such as AngularJS or VueJS

* Familiarity with version control software such as GIT

* Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Maven or GITLAB

* Experience or familiarity with Agile development practices

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
