Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Intern

As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Intern with Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will provide 1:1 behavioral interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying diagnosis. The internship position is designed for a student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework who requires a full time internship for their program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides face-to-face behavioral interventions. Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) while working 1:1 with clients
• Delivers and models treatment interventions.
• Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information, which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.
• Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all clients and families.
• Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.
• Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines, and state regulatory standards.
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with little notice, dependent on client needs.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a nontraditional setting that may include environments made up of multiple family dynamics.
• BHT Interns will be expected to work in a variety of settings with clients, including clinics, schools, homes, or community settings.

Travel

This position requires travel up to 10% of the time, with clients being no more than 30 minutes from the staff's home or Hummingbird ABA Therapy's Center, unless specifically agreed upon. BHT Intern is required to have their own reliable transportation to/from clients within Centre County.

This position may be eligible for loan forgiveness and participation in the Behavioral Health and Higher Education Plan, subject to program requirements and employee eligibility. Requirements

Behavioral Health Technician Interns shall meet both of the following before starting the position:

• Have at least a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in an educational program
• Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
