Medical Assistant Floater

Job Description Job Description The Certified Medical Assistant providers assistance with various healthcare services following established policies and protocols including but not limited to conducting routine lab studies, obtaining specimens, and assisting with administrative functions. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by the provider. This position may assist in examination and treatment of patients, and may provide translation services for patients. IMPORTANT NOTE: As a Certified Medical Assistant Floater, the incumbent is required to travel to different clinic locations, at times without advance notice. While St. John's may assign an CMA Floater to a clinic/local area on a regular basis, a change in assignment can happen at any time. CMA Floaters are required to respond to the new assignment within the timeframe outlined. No guarantees are made as to permanent placements at a clinic.
