Maintenance and Reliability Manager Your role: As Maintenance and Reliability Manager, you will lead the maintenance and reliability team to enable the plant's successful delivery of products. You will make recommendations to simplify and streamline day‑to‑day work processes. You will also solve complex problems and approach them with a new perspective. To succeed, you must be able to: - Deliver results in first‑time situations by inspiring others and working to earn trust every day - Serve others with understanding, respect, and care - Operate with simplicity, clarity and transparency - Deal with and drive change - Organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines - Learn and apply new technology and share your knowledge with others Responsibilities Manage supervisor of maintenance team, setting vision, strategy, and goals for team Manage contractors and other technical service technicians Manage repairs, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations Eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life of equipment Develop and manage the maintenance budget and long‑term capital projects and corresponding budgets Manage inspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities Manage accuracy and maintenance of MRO inventory Maintain and prioritize planned maintenance schedule in conjunction with other departments Establish criteria for assessing the quality and safety of work performed by team members and contractors Manage the completion of work through review of reliability reports, site inspections and conferences with operations and vendors Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment and grounds, and recommend improvements to ensure that needs are met Evaluate maintenance department personnel skills to help develop training programs Manage work order backlog Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5‑8 years or High School diploma/GED with 9‑12 years of relevant experience, including 2‑3 years of supervisory experience Subject matter expert in maintenance process, activities, and maintenance management systems Demonstrated experience in managing capital projects Demonstrated experience in developing and executing budgets Demonstrated experience of applicable Predictive and Preventive Maintenance technologies Understanding of operating context of site assets / process systems Demonstrated experience of maintenance safety practices Demonstrated experience of Programmable Logic Controllers Demonstrated experience with electrical troubleshooting Demonstrated experience of and experience with Computer Maintenance Management System Experience with capital expenditures and projects Good to Have Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the operating areas (e.g., safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator) Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays Ability to work a machine‑paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions including heat/cold temperatures (inclement weather), indoor/outdoor environment, dusty environment, noisy environment, frequent moving/vibration or other motion of equipment/processes, and elevated places including stairs/ladders Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks Ability to travel up to 5% Willing to work weekends, holidays, seven‑day weeks, and opposing shifts when needed Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Health and Dependent Savings Accounts Life and Disability Programs Voluntary Benefit Programs Company Sponsored Wellness Programs Retirement Savings with Company Match Team Member and Family Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Employee Recognition Program with Rewards (RAVE) EEO Commitment At Ardent Mills, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and team members and the decisions will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs.
