Quality Mechanical Inspector (Precision Machining) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour Shift: First or Second Shift Available Shift Schedule First Shift: Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Second Shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector with a strong background in precision machining to join our growing manufacturing team. This is not a general quality inspection role—we're looking for someone with hands‑on experience inspecting CNC machined components in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections , operating and programming CMM equipment , and interpreting complex engineering drawings with GD&T . This position plays a key role in ensuring precision‑machined parts consistently meet customer and internal quality standards. Responsibilities Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision‑machined components and assemblies Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including: Micrometers Calipers Bore gauges Other precision inspection tools Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation Assist with nonconformance investigations and corrective actions Work closely with production and quality teams to improve first-pass yield and reduce defects Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 5+ years of mechanical inspection experience in a precision machining or CNC manufacturing environment Experience inspecting CNC machined components is required Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Hands‑on experience operating and programming CMM equipment Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work Preferred Experience Precision machining or aerospace manufacturing Tight‑tolerance inspection Root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives ISO or AS9100 manufacturing environments $27.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience Four‑day work week (Monday-Thursday) First and second shift opportunities available Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and paid holidays Stable, long‑term career opportunity Opportunities for professional growth and advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
