Together, we can shape the future.As an integral part of the Delavan plant the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for executing on the deployment of Total Prevention Maintenance (TPM) processes across more than 30 recycled glass processing plantsa complex recycled glass processing facility, including process development, training, and compliance auditing. Provide support toCollaborating with Sibelco glass processing plants, regionally and nationwide, in the operation and maintenance of optical sorting machines and other industrial equipment**Your Impact in This Role**As a Maintenance Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:* Report to the Plant Manager and lead the plant maintenance team to maintain, troubleshoot and repair the plant equipment.* Practice and enforce safe practices within your department* Train employees on safety and best practices* Ensure employees are trained on job specific assignments* Maintenance of pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines* Audit plant performance at completing maintenance tasks.* Become a subject-matter expert in the operation and troubleshooting of optical sorting machines from multiple manufacturers.* Calculate and issue monthly fuel surcharge updates* Champions and supports Lean and Continuous Improvement Initiatives* Change belts and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyors* Develop and refine maintenance planning processes; and preventive maintenance program for mechanical and electrical equipment* Evaluate and ensure the quality of maintenance performed by internal plant maintenance teams and external vendors.* Identify plant performance issues and provide recommendations for equipment and design changes to correct them.* Lead plants in performing root cause analysis (8D process) of issues involving quality, yield, and uptime.* Manage company-wide systemCMMS (SAP) to track capital assets, life expectancy, and repair and maintenance* (R&M) budget and costs.* Manage equipment vendor relationships with major equipment suppliers; global spare parts program; spare parts inventory – order parts as needed, determine and manage stocking levels* Oversee maintenance of forklifts and loaders and other mobile equipmentPart number administration and entry* Perform hands-on escalated maintenance troubleshooting and repairs; periodic preventive maintenance checks as required; basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs* Provide coaching, training, and accountability to plant maintenance managerspersonnel, and assist in hiring of new plant maintenance managerspersonnel.* Reportable Reports Administration - adding new reports, adding users, report maintenance, managing user report access in CMMS (SAP)* Support Continuous Improvement initiatives; emergency repair process; provide plant managers and plant maintenance teams with first-line escalation support during equipment failures.* Track equipment status, redistribute maintenance and spare-parts assets, and expedite high-priority repair efforts to maximize plant uptime performance.* Demonstrate ethical decision-making, ownership of results, and consistency between words and actions.* Drive safety beyond compliance by actively identifying risks, leading by example on the floor, and embedding safe behaviours into daily operations.* Apply a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving* Utilize disciplined methodologies (e.g., RCA, 5why) to identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and prevent recurrence.* Shift the organization from reactive to planned maintenance by improving asset reliability, PM compliance, and long-term equipment performance.* Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and create an environment of trust, ownership, and continuous development.* Actively develop technical and leadership capabilities within the team through hands-on coaching, feedback, and structured development plans.* Prioritize effectively, manage competing demands, and ensure maintenance activities are executed in a structured and efficient manner.* Balance cost control with operational reliability, making data-driven decisions on repairs, capital, and resource allocation.* Deliver on commitments, maintain high standards of consistency, and ensure critical tasks are completed without the need for escalation.* Lead with a “plant-first” and business-oriented mindset* Understand the impact of maintenance decisions on production, quality, and cost, and align actions with overall plant performance goals.* Lead or contribute to projects with clear scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful implementation and measurable impact.**What You Bring to the Table*** Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field Preferred* 10+ years of Maintenance experience including 3-5 years of Supervisory experience* Lean Manufacturing experience, 5s, and/or Six Sigma certification a plus* College Degree or technical training, preferred.* 480vAC/3/60 3ph electrical troubleshooting* Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred* Able to work safely and efficiently* Advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance skills* ERP systems experience (SAP a plus)* Excellent communication and people skills interpersonal communication skills* Experience with TPM Maintenance Program**Salary**Competitive regional salary with eligibility for annual bonus and equity.
