- DEA (must be obtained prior to start)


Description:
The OB Hospitalist will provide 24-hour in-house coverage within a high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities include managing obstetric triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests.
The physician will respond to and manage maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) patient transports, assisting in cesarean sections as needed.
Inpatient rounding, including postpartum patients, is a key component of the role.
The OB Hospitalist will participate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside specialists.
The physician will also conduct gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients.
Coordination of care is crucial within a high-acuity obstetric environment, supported by dedicated anesthesiology, neonatal, and pediatric coverage.
The role involves delivering comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care in a multidisciplinary hospital setting.
