Principal Accountabilities Serve as a liaison between Sinclair Community College and thecorrectional facility warden, educational staff, and administrationat London Correctional Institution Assess instructional needs and opportunities within andspecific to London Correctional Institution Collaborate to develop and implement certificate programs withSCC department chairpersons and deans to meet the incarceratedperson’s post-secondary educational needs in correctionalsettings Orient staff and instructional faculty to teaching in acorrectional setting and working with the diverse needs ofincarcerated adult learners and correctional staff Oversee security clearance process and assist in resolvinginstructor needs when needed Supervise the assistant coordinator in handling day-to-dayoperational activities Oversee support services for incarcerated adult learners suchas placement testing, academic advising, registration, textbooks,tutoring, and attendance Ensure all policies and regulations of London CorrectionalInstitution, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC ), and SCC are followed and enforced Maintain records that conform to DRC and SCC Provide accurate and on-time reports to London CorrectionalInstitution, SCC, and DRC This position is also responsible for overseeing all facilitiesand equipment related to the delivery of SCC programs at LondonCorrectional Institution to ensure that applicable policies of SCCand DRC are followed, most particularly security This position is in continual contact with the Director ofAdvanced Job Training Requirements Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; master’s degreepreferred Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in acorrectional, law enforcement, or higher education settingrequired; previous work experience in a supervisory role and/or aneducational setting preferred Ability to exercise leadership for education programdevelopment in the unique and complex environment of a correctionalfacility required Current working knowledge of and successful professionalexperience working within the criminal justice system required Professional communication skills to include but not limited tooral and written required Ability to successfully work with diverse constituents,including college faculty and administrators as well as inmates andstaff in correctional facilities Ability to supervise staff and manage resource and operationseffectively and efficiently required Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously whileproviding great attention to detail while meeting all prescribeddeadlines required Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability tolearn necessary college related databases required Ability to pass a DRC background check required Supplemental Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*). * Do you have a minimum of a bachelor's degree?
