Assessment Specialist RN

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Assessment Specialist RN to join our team. This role focuses on mental health assessment and care in an intake setting. The ideal candidate will recognize mental health as an illness and be skilled in handling common diagnoses such as detox, depression, and psychosis. You will be working with a patient population aged 18 to 99.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for incoming patients.
• Ensure appropriate treatment plans are established based on assessments.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients during intake.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification preferred.
