Accounting Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable accounting associate to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions while also supporting basic human resources activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (AP), including vendor invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Work closely with management to monitor budgets and control expenses.
• Assist with payroll preparation by verifying employee hours and documentation.
• Support HR staff as needed.
• Perform other duties and provide additional support as assigned based on the needs of the business.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, hotel, or restaurant operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience with accounting software (Timberline, Visual One, and, or similar ERP systems).
• Familiarity with payroll and HR processes is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test
