Automotive Service Technician

Service TechnicianYork Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our growing Fixed Operations team. The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards while delivering a high level of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform multi-point inspections and document findings accurately.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using OEM tools.Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.Maintain technician efficiency and productivity standards.Accurately document repair orders and technician notes.Minimize comebacks through proper repair verification and quality control.Follow dealership safety policies and OSHA compliance standards.Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and Shop Foreman.Perform other responsibilities and duties that may not appear in this description.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of automotive repair experience (dealership experience preferred).Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Ability to pass background check and drug screening.ASE certifications preferred.OEM factory training certifications preferred.Performance ExpectationsMaintain technician proficiency at or above dealership benchmarks.Achieve minimal comeback percentage.Support strong FFV & CSI performance through quality repairs.Complete required annual training hours.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive flat-rate or hourly compensation (pay based on experience and qualifications).Performance-based incentives.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with generous company match.Paid time off.Ongoing factory training and advancement opportunities.Why Join York Automotive Group?Stable, reputable dealership group with strong community presence.Growth and advancement opportunities within Fixed Operations.Supportive leadership team focused on accountability and results.Investment in technician training, tools, and equipment.Performance-driven culture that rewards productivity and quality.York Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
