PTA

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides supportive therapy services under the direction of a physical therapist to patients in various settings including outpatient, acute care, skilled nursing, and home health. The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and promote overall physical function. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability to diverse patient needs, and effective communication within the interdisciplinary team. Experience in acute and long-term care settings is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care and rehabilitation services.
• Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding therapy goals and progress.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual patient needs across various care settings.

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of two years' experience preferred, especially in acute and long-term care settings.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and patient care techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working in outpatient, acute care, skilled nursing, and home health environments.
• Additional certifications related to therapeutic modalities or specialty patient populations.

• Ability to work with a varied caseload including outpatient, acute, skilled nursing, and home health patients.
• Position located in a community hospital setting in southwest Montana.

• Primarily scheduled for five 8-hour day shifts per week.
• Shift assignments may be subject to change based on patient care needs.
