Job Description

We are seeking a dependable Spot Welder for a manufacturing company in the Mentor area. This hands-on opportunity is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with metal components, operating production equipment, and producing quality parts.

In this role, you will position metal parts, operate spot welding equipment to join components, and inspect completed work for proper alignment and weld quality. Attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a commitment to safety will help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Position and align metal components according to work instructions
• Operate spot welding equipment to join metal parts
• Use fixtures to hold components in place during welding
• Inspect finished parts for weld quality and proper alignment
• Identify and report defective parts or equipment concerns
• Organize completed parts for the next production step
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety procedures and meet daily quality and production expectations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous spot welding, metal assembly, or manufacturing experience is helpful
• Comfortable operating production equipment and using basic hand tools
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail when positioning and inspecting parts
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
