RN Supervisor - Cardiology

The RN physician practice supervisor provides day to day management of the assigned provider office. Provides on-site supervision and coordination of both operational and clinical services. Responsible for managing staffing, payroll, patient and provider schedules, maintaining the environment of care and the general day to day operations of the practice. In addition, responsible for functioning as a member of the staff within the limits of their clinical expertise. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director and other providers to provide safe, high-quality care that meets/exceeds patient expectations. Works collaboratively with, and under the direction of the Regional Practice Manager or Director.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides daily staffing management of the physician practice.
• Manages daily surety of personnel, patients and families.
• Manages the daily service excellence and service recovery efforts of the practice.
• Maintains continuous compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrates leadership.

Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in physician practice.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

• Knowledge of basic Office Equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Functional skills on PC and related software

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two (2) to three (3) years' experience as office manager or lead in a medical office or clinical department.
• Experience in Healthcare setting.

License, Certification & Clearances

• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program.
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.).
• Travel may be expected locally between System locations.
