• Number of Beds: 48
• Patient Ratios: 1:7 aim for 1:6
• Unit staffing description: We call for 9 nurses, 5 PCTs, and 1 US
• Type of equipment: EGK, Bladder scanner, Ultra light for IV insertion
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 12 hours, EOW, OT avail
• Floating policy: PRN
• Patient Experience requirements: MED SURG

Requested Skill Set: M/S Must have: Great communication skills, teamwork

Advanced skills needed:

• Procedures performed on unit: Wound care, I/O caths, trach care
• Certifications Required: BLS

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy blue or White scrubs

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• BSSR, frequent huddling to ensure we are all on the same page, use of iPhone for communication

This is a power unit with great teamwork, we endure so many success stories with getting sick pts home safe. We are the pilot unit with 2 case managers and a social worker we are recognized for handling tough dispositions in the safest way possible.
