Working closely with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members, the RN assists with both diagnostic and interventional cases, such as heart catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and emergency interventions. Responsibilities include performing baseline patient assessments, monitoring patient response during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing clear communication and education to patients and families. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, supporting optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, technologically advanced setting. Qualifications - Registered Nurse Cath Lab Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing program, or higher Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing BLS Certification (within 90 days of hire) ACLS (within 1 year of hire) Previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc) or cath lab experience Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures (preferred) Responsibilities - Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist A Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (Cath Lab Technologist) plays a vital role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Working collaboratively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members, this professional utilizes specialized equipment to support the accurate diagnosis and treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease. Responsibilities include performing and reviewing baseline patient assessments, monitoring patient responses during cardiac and vascular procedures, and providing exceptional patient care under physician direction. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist acts as a first assistant in both diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization, ensuring maximum patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
