Metal Deburring & Texturizing Technician | $18/hr.+ based on experience | 5 :30 a m – 2:30p m Monday - Thursday

We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Deburring & Texturizing Technician to join a precision manufacturing team in the Painesville area. This position performs secondary finishing operations on precision-machined parts, including removing burrs, rough edges, and excess material, as well as surface texturizing to achieve required appearance or surface finish specifications. The ideal candidate will have steady hands, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.

 

Responsibilities

• Follow job routers and written processing instructions for each part
• Review blueprints for specified angles, radii, chamfers, and surface finish requirements
• Deburr precision-machined parts using hand tools and motorized equipment, including air/electric grinders, buffing wheels, speed lathes, and belt sanders
• Perform surface texturizing to achieve required appearance or RA specifications and use up to 10X magnification as required
• Maintain required production rates and quality levels while handling parts carefully to avoid nicks, scratches, or damage; keep work area and equipment clean and organized

  Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed hand work for extended periods
• Ability to work under microscope magnification continuously throughout a shift
• Ability to identify critical surfaces and handle precision parts without causing damage
• Ability to follow written and verbal processing instructions accurately
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Reliable, focused, and quality-conscious
• Prior experience in deburring, finishing, or secondary machining operations preferred
• Basic blueprint reading and familiarity with surface finish / RA specifications preferred
• Experience operating air/electric grinders, buffing wheels, or belt sanders preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary for this position is $18/hr. or more based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
