POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a licensed RN or LPN to serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator in a specialized Ophthalmology practice specializing in cancers of the eye. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys clinical work but is looking for a less bedside-intensive position with a strong blend of patient interaction, research coordination, and outpatient clinical support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and manage oncology clinical research studies from start-up through close-out

• Screen, consent, and enroll research participants according to study protocols

• Coordinate study visits, assessments, and follow-up appointments

• Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs, and protocol-required injections

• Administer fluorescein dye injections for ophthalmic diagnostic testing

• Triage patient phone calls and communicate test results and clinical instructions to patients

• Maintain accurate research documentation and electronic data capture

• Collaborate closely with physicians, investigators, and clinical staff

• Ensure compliance with GCP, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current LPN or RN license (required)

• Minimum 3 years of clinical or research experience

• Prior clinical research experience preferred

• Comfortable performing injections, blood draws, and ECGs

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Proficiency with EHRs and electronic documentation systems
