Job Description:

The Med Surg Float Pool nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care across all inpatient Medical-Surgical units, including step down and emergency departments for med surg holds.
• Function independently with strong clinical judgment.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Float between multiple units comfortably and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience.
• BLS, NIHHS certifications required (TNCC and ACLS preferred).
• Strong proficiency in EPIC system.
• Adherence to compliance with all Temple policies, including attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.
