Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging on patients of all ages, requiring ARRT registration and Massachusetts radiologic licensure.
Details
- Cat Scan department setting
- Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
- Schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
- Start date is contingent on credentialing clearance, with rescheduling required if not cleared by the posted start date
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology experience required
- ARRT Registered as RT(R) or RT(N)
- ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred; if not held at hire, must be obtained within one year
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Radiation Control Board
- License required if applicable
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred; some facilities require AHA only)
- Knowledge of special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients preferred
- Ability to insert and remove IVs
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Performs a variety of CT procedures under the direction of a physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation
- Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts
- Follows federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for the local rate
- No validated parking available at Boston locations; public transportation or paid public parking required
