Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, utilizing structured interviews and standardized evaluation tools to gather comprehensive background and presenting concerns.

• Develop actionable and individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students and their families, focusing on achievable goals that promote emotional well-being and academic participation.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused techniques tailored to each student’s needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance personal growth, impart emotional regulation skills, and promote effective coping strategies among students.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and coordinating referrals as needed for enhanced care.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources, empowering them with knowledge to support mental wellness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical standards in social work practice.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to share insights, promote continuity of care, and stay aligned with best practices in mental health.

• Keep up to date with emerging trends in mental health laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to school settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma-related issues. You will work closely with a diverse student body, recognizing the varying cultural backgrounds, learning abilities, and specific needs that contribute to each individual’s mental health. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that students feel safe and supported during their educational experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or educational setting.

• Proven ability to conduct mental health assessments, diagnose conditions, and formulate effective treatment plans.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
