We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and comfort for our clients. Your expertise will help deliver energy-efficient solutions and reliable climate control systems across various commercial and residential settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while providing exceptional customer service and contributing to building comfort and safety.
Duties
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications.
- Perform system troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems associated with HVAC equipment.
- Repair mechanical systems by replacing worn or damaged parts, adjusting components for proper operation, and performing routine maintenance.
- Diagnose issues related to plumbing, refrigeration, building automation systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components to ensure comprehensive system functionality.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain system operations, maintenance procedures, and answer any questions related to HVAC performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation in compliance with industry standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols including EPA certification requirements for refrigerant handling and electrical safety standards during all installation and repair activities.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation or related mechanical trades.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems in residential or commercial environments.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Familiarity with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems including refrigerant piping and drainage setups.
- Mechanical knowledge of system repair procedures for boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork, and refrigeration components.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently for system installation or repair tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
