About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Internal Audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing complex, risk-based audits across various financial functions, including actuarial, investment, treasury, and finance. This role demands a high level of expertise in assessing governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency. The AVP will also be expected to collaborate with business leaders and external auditors to identify control gaps, develop remediation strategies, and leverage data analytics to enhance audit quality and efficiency. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years' experience in internal audit, risk management, public accounting, finance, investments, or related control functions. A strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks is essential, with a specific focus on audit experience within insurance and reinsurance. The role requires proficiency in SOX testing, control evaluation, and advanced organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other audit-related technologies is also necessary.
