About the Position

Job Title: Telemetry RN Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year current Telemetry hospital experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current Telemetry hospital experience - BLS & ACLS Description: Travel opportunity for a Telemetry RN. The unit has 17 beds. There are 12 staff members on the unit. Day shift consists of 3-4 RNs and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Night shift consists of 3-4 RNs and 2 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:6. For Heart Cath patients, the ratio is approximately 1:4. Type of equipment includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. The Electronic Medical Record system in use is Meditech. Candidates working in large trauma facilities are preferred. Experience with Meditech is a plus. Typical procedures performed include central lines, medication drips, Heart Cath recovery, and bubble studies. Ideal candidates should have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Independent and strong critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role.
