Copywriter

Copywriter – Temporary/Contract
Up to $24 hour; Galleria area
Fully in-office, Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM

Duties:

• Responsible for editing, updating, and creating copy for internal and external communications, advertising, and web-based writing assignments including:
  • Community statements
  • Invitations, flyers, and brochures
  • Website pages, emails, and digital advertisements; possible print ads
  • Newsletter contributions
  • Team Member profiles
  • Articles and other written content
  • Proofreading and reviewing all collateral for accuracy and quality
• Ensure projects and assignments are completed with a high level of quality and on schedule using the company brand voice
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining flexible throughout the revision process
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
• Collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or a related field A MUST!
• 1-2 years of related professional experience A MUST!
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, syntax, and communication skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and adaptable; strong team-player ethic
• Strong word-processing, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
• Self-starter who is conscientious about producing high-quality work in a timely manner
• Customer-oriented attitude with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to follow-up
• Ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism
• Ability to work independently, quickly, and efficiently
• Eagerness to take on new challenges and learn new skills

• Hiring process will include Wonderlic and Berke assessments, and also provide a writing sample
• Will work with a team of 7 in marketing department
