Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) is part of a team empowered to perform independently and deliver prescribed therapy. The Therapist evaluates patient response to therapy and adjusts as needed. This position is responsible for performing respiratory care procedures independently. The Therapist interprets physician orders and assesses patient needs. They deliver prescribed therapy and evaluate patient response effectively. This includes performing invasive procedures with minimal supervision in patient care units and critical care areas. The Therapist serves as a consultant by communicating suggestions to the clinical team regarding respiratory care. The position requires prompt responses to changes in workload and adjustments in assignments. The goal is to achieve optimal productivity, efficacy, and quality patient care.
