Community Automotive Repair started in 1975. Our shop is locally owned and operated. We are adding to our team of highly trained professionals. As a Master Certified Technician you can expect to join a team of the very best technicians in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We offer a stable, secure, and safe working environment. As an Advanced Automotive Technician, you're the go-to problem-solver for vehicles other shops can't pin down. This role exists to deliver accurate diagnostics and high-level repairs that keep our workflow moving and our standards high. Key responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics across complex electrical and drivability concerns
- Work in areas such as EV/Hybrid systems, performance upgrades, and major engine/transmission repair
- Follow a clear cause-and-effect process to identify secondary failures and related system issues
- Produce 40–55 hours (Level 3/4) or prioritize diagnostic accuracy as the primary specialist
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional technician experience with strong diagnostic tool mastery
- State Certifications required
- ASE Master preferred (or ready to complete immediately)
