Account Manager, Commercial Lines

Overview HUB is one of the world’s largest insurance brokers, focused on providing clients with protection through advocacy and tailored solutions. The Account Manager manages a book of insurance business, providing professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. They may work independently, as part of a team, or with a Producer to provide client advocacy, client retention, write new client accounts or lines of coverage as needed. Responsibilities Service day‑to‑day client needs, including fielding phone calls, e‑mail, and other communication related to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc. Manage the execution of all aspects of the client renewal process, including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation of renewal numbers and invoicing. Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in the proposal. Maintain client relationships, ensuring satisfaction. Delegate work to Associate Account Managers I and II as needed. Maintain relationships with underwriters, negotiate coverage, and ensure positive results for clients. Ensure the completion and accuracy of proposals, binding of coverage, review policies for accuracy, and create client policy summaries and binders. Set up and maintain electronic records. Apply best practices and internal broker standards for service and maintenance of client files and information. Train and collaborate with team members on coverage, exposures, and client knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Passenger & Carrier (P&C) insurance producer license. Two or more years of insurance brokerage or property and casualty insurance experience in an account management role (preferred). Skills and Abilities Exceptional customer service skills. Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills. Strong data entry skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization and follow‑up skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization. Experience with EPIC Agency Management System (preferred). Working Conditions and Physical Demands Employees are regularly required to sit, use hands, fingers, and to talk or hear. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds may be required. Benefits and Compensation Compensation ranges from $30.76 to $33.33 per hour, depending on geographic location and other factors.
