Are you ready to make an impact from day one? Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

Compensation Range: $18 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

A day in the life of a Behavioral Health Technician at Norris Academy is rarely the same, HARD WORK, EXCITING, IMPACTFUL, and very REWARDING. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you are helping to care for and support youth that are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a 100% onsite position. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist residents with personal care tasks
• Support independent living skills and treatment goals
• Ensure residents safety at all times
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines

To be considered you should:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
• Have at least 1 year experience working with autistic youth
• Have a passion to work with and help children

Schedule/hours/shifts: Our 4 days on, 3 days off (opposite the 2nd week) schedule, allows our employees more time to rest, take care of personal affairs, and reduces burnout. Schedule choices are as follows;

1. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Every Other Wednesday 7am-7:30pm

2. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Wednesday 7am- 7:30pm
