Job Title: Caregiver - Personal Care and Homemaking

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule and Hours:

- 18 hours per week

- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays , 10:00am - 4:00 pm

Position Details:

- Providing care for male client who is quadriplegic. Assisting with transfer toileting, bathing, dressing and supporting client with daily living activities and homemaking services.

Job Summary:

As a Caregiver specializing in Personal Care and Homemaking, you will provide one-on-one care for an adult client who is quadriplegic. You will play a vital role in assisting with personal care, activities of daily living, homemaking tasks, and promoting the client's safety, comfort, and independence. Care is provided in a respectful and dignified manner while meeting the client's individualized needs and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care assistance, including support with activities of daily living as outlined in the client's individualized care plan.

- Provide homemaking services including housekeeping, laundry, cooking, and meal preparation.

- Ensure a clean and organized living environment tailored to the client's preferences and health requirements.

- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical, emotional, or mental condition to appropriate personnel.

- Engage the client in meaningful activities and companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

- Communicate effectively with the client, family members, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

- Respect client confidentiality by adhering to professional standards and agency policies.

Qualifications:

- At least 18 years of age preferred. If under 18, custodial parent/guardian must sign approval for work.

- Must be able to communicate effectively in exchanges between the client, families, other providers, and administrative staff members.

- Must be able to pass CBI background check, and Colorado CAPS check prior to assignment. Cannot be listed on the National Sex Offender Registry. Cannot be listed on the OIG Exclusion List. If applicable, professional license must be valid.

- Must be willing to understand and respect clients in their homes, including their ethics, value, and confidentiality of care.
