Safety Specialist
SPECTRAFORCE
Title: Safety Specialist
Location: Lebanon, TN, Tennessee
Duration: 6 Months
Training Schedule:
- Week 1: AEW, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weeks 2–3: Donut Shift, 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Week 4: BHN schedule for transition to shift
Shift Schedule:
- Back Half Nights (BHN): Wednesday–Saturday, 6:30 PM – 5:30 AM
- OT available for coverage gaps (pending finance approval)
Key Responsibilities
- :Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits and inspections
- .Identify compliance issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- .Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
- .Maintain safety documentation and compliance records
- .Enter and manage data in internal systems
- .Train and coach managers and associates on safety procedures
- .Support OSHA compliance, workers' compensation, and emergency response activities
- .Participate in process improvement and safety initiatives
.Required Qualifications
- :Minimum 1 year of experience in EHS, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field; OR a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- .Knowledge of OSHA regulations, particularly 29 CFR 1910
- .Professional experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- .Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- .Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- .Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
.Preferred Qualifications
- :Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field
- .Experience in workplace safety, workers' compensation, and incident management
- .Emergency response training/certifications
- .Experience in industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, healthcare, or logistics environments
- .Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- .Experience conducting job hazard analyses and risk assessments
- .Passion for workplace safety and continuous improvement
