Production Supervisor - Nights

Position Title: Production SupervisorWage: $38.00 per hourShift: NightHours: 5:00pm-5:00amQPS Employment Group has a great Production Supervisor position available at a company in Spring, TX.Production Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Supervise daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.- Coordinate staffing and production schedules to maximize productivity.- Monitor workflow and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.- Ensure production documentation and reporting are completed accurately.- Track production metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.- Ensure products meet company and customer quality standards.- Promote continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.- Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.- Conduct regular safety meetings and workplace inspections.- Ensure employees use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.- Attend production meetings.- Assign work schedules.- Coordinate safety training.- Coordinate employee vacation schedules.- Conduct employee performance evaluations (less than 6 months).- The following positions report to the Production Supervisor: Dayshift Foreman and Nightshift Foreman.- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.- Responsibilities include assigning work, training, rewarding and disciplining employees; recommending pay increases, promoting/discharging, addressing complaints and resolving problems.Production Supervisor Requirements:- Must be able to read and write in English or Spanish.- Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.- 3–5 years of manufacturing or production experience required.- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.- Experience in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and machinery.About us:QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
