About This Role

Little Feet & Helpful Hands Childcare and Preschool is looking to add fun-loving, reliable lead teachers to our team! We’re looking for experienced individuals who are able to work with all ages served at the center– 6 weeks to 6 years old. We believe in learning through play and providing the children with fun experiences and lifelong friendships. 

What You'll Do

• Complete and delegate the classroom schedule, shared classroom cleaning duties, diapering duties, and the overall flow of the classroom
• Create weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for the children in your care
• Communicate with parents via brightwheel app, including entering meals, diapers, and naps 
• Maintain professional and caring relationships with children and parents, being sure to use appropriate words and tone of voice at all times
• Assist children in their daily needs, such as changing diapers and assisting in toileting, serving meals, and getting them down for a nap
• Model proper behavior and redirect improper behavior by providing a better option
• Supervise children and interact with them by playing with them, reading to them, dancing with them, etc. 

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma/GED
• Lead teacher certification– via degree or book studies

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (not required, but it's a plus!)

• We are willing to train and help you get all necessary requirements if you do not have them!
