Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy of financial information, strengthen internal controls, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to the continued growth of the organization.While the position includes limited backup support for payroll and employee-related administrative processes, its primary focus is accounting and financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact within a collaborative and growing organization. Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Financial OperationsOversee daily accounting operations for multiple affiliated entitiesMaintain general ledger accuracy and prepare monthly financial statementsPerform and review bank, balance sheet, and credit card reconciliationsManage accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense trackingMonitor accounts receivable and support collection activitiesPrepare management reporting packages and financial analysesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash management initiativesCoordinate annual audits and work with external accountants and advisorsIdentify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiencyPayroll & Administrative SupportReview payroll reports, reconciliations, tax filings, and related journal entriesServe as backup payroll processor using Gusto as neededSupport retirement plan administration and payroll compliance initiativesMaintain familiarity with onboarding, benefits, and employee-related processes to provide operational continuity when neededQualifications:RequiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experienceStrong QuickBooks Online experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel proficiencyExperience preparing financial statements and account reconciliationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferredExperience in healthcare, legal, professional services, or practice management environmentsExperience with Gusto payrollFamiliarity with trust accounting or professional services accountingCPA, CMA, or similar certification Why Join Focus Practice Management?At Focus Practice Management, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, influence key financial processes, and support the continued growth of multiple affiliated organizations.
