Bilingual in Spanish Pediatrician - El Monte, CA Position Summary Join a well-established practice at Mayflower Medical Group. We are currently looking for a Pediatrician to join our growing clinic. The Pediatrician will provide primary care treatment to patients through a number of duties that include, but are not limited to, examining patients, identifying health concerns, recording medical history, prescribing medication, and/or referring patients to on-site or off-site resources. The following statements describe the principal activities of this position identified and shall not be construed as a detailed exposition of all the duties that may be inherent in this position. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provide medical care to pediatric patient’s ages 0-18 years old Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development Treat children who have minor illnesses, infections, injuries, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, medication, reports, and examination results Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in children Perform procedures within the provider’s scope of practice Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical condition and determine diagnosis Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary Maintain current and unrestricted licensures as required Plan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and development of children and adolescents Provide health and wellness advice to patients and caregivers Direct and supervise patient care personnel as required Prepare government or organizational reports of birth, death, disease statistics, or medical status of individuals as required or directed Education and Experience Qualified candidates must possess a valid license to practice in CA, DEA and Board certification or Eligible in Pediatric Medicine. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
