Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/30/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel TRAVEL - RN - NEURO STEPDOWN LOCATION: Nashville, TN SHIFT TIME: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM SHIFT TYPE: Night Shift DURATION: 13 weeks GENERAL INFORMATION UNIT SPECIFICS: Number of Beds: 30 total — 22 Acute Care and 8 Neuro Stepdown Patient Ratios: Acute Care: 6:1 Neuro Stepdown: 4:1 Unit Staffing: 1 RN Charge over the entire 10 Tower 1–2 Techs 1 Unit Secretary Type of Equipment: Acute Care: Vital sign machines, high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, various drips, and stroke-related equipment Neuro Stepdown: Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, and titrating cardiac drips Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: Depends on the schedule; weekend shifts are required Floating Policy: Experienced nurses may float after orientation Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report Personal connection with patients Daily huddle HOSPITAL SPECIFICS Certifications: Acute Care: BLS Neuro Stepdown: BLS and ACLS HIRING PROFILE REQUESTED SKILL SET Must Have: Strong Acute Care nursing skills Strong time-management skills Neuro Stepdown experience preferred/required for Neuro Stepdown assignment Ability to care for high-acuity neurological patients ADVANCED SKILLS NEEDED: Strong critical-thinking skills Ability to manage complex neurological and cardiac patients Experience with titrating cardiac drips PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT Lumbar puncture Chest tube placement CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED ACLS BLS NIH Certification TB_RN Talent Burst Job ID 26-28598.
