The incumbent serves as an as an accountant (staff), responsible for developing, coordinating, and promulgating accounting, financial management, and financial reporting policies and procedures for the Joint Staff (JS) Comptroller.Key ResponsibilitiesThis position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct-Hire Auth (Certain DoD Personnel), PL 118-31, Sec 1250B(i)(2), 12/22/2023 As a ACCOUNTANT (STAFF) at the GS-0510-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Establishes and maintains accounting financial management, and financial reporting programs and processes that are vital to and in support of the Joint Staff (JS ) mission.Establishes, reports on, and monitors internal controls that cover financial reports and systems to improve operations and system effectiveness.
