Medical Malpractice Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The attorney will manage a complex caseload from pre‑litigation through trial, providing an opportunity to work within an established practice group. Duties Handle medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution, including trial. Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. Guide clients through the case process. Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits. Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Requirements Law degree from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the SC State Bar Association. Minimum 5+ years of medical malpractice experience, preferably Plaintiff. Ability to manage a high volume of cases. Excellent client service and communication skills. Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Skills Strong litigation and trial preparation skills. Proficient in legal research and writing.
