You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable applications using .NET / C#Contribute to the development of RESTful APIs and backend services within our microservices architectureWork with containerization technologies like Docker to prepare applications for deploymentDeploy and support applications within the Microsoft Azure cloud environmentWrite and maintain efficient SQL queries and contribute to database design.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in development and production environmentsCollaborate with team members on code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practicesFollow established CI/CD processes for deploying applicationsParticipate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussionsDesign, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of AI.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in CS or IT related field5+ years of professional experience in software development using the .NET framework5+ years of experience building applications with ASP.NET Core and creating Web APIs5+ years of experience in SQL and working with relational databases like Azure SQL2+ years of experience working on applications deployed in any cloud environment (Microsoft Azure is a plus)2+ years of experience with the principles of microservices and RESTful API design2+ years of experience using Git for source control in a team setting1+ years of experience with containerization concepts (Docker experience is preferred)Preferred Qualifications: A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
