Growing together.We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in setting up and managing Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Cloud Data Stacks and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will also have a solid background in configuring and implementing DevOps pipelines using GitActions CI/CD and Terraform.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Data Factory (ADF), Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), LogicApps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and Blob StorageConfigure and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions to meet business requirementsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitActions to ensure seamless integration and deployment processesUtilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and manage cloud resourcesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutionsMonitor and troubleshoot Cloud Data Platform infrastructure to ensure high availability and performanceImplement security best practices to safeguard data and cloud resourcesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of hands-on experience in setting up and managing Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Cloud Data Stacks (ADF, SHIR, LogicApps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage)3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake configuration and optimization3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, including GitActions CI/CD and Terraform2+ years of experience with setting up, configuring, and optimizing Databricks for data engineering and analytics workloadsHands-on experience with AI-enabled data engineering toolsExperience working within Agile delivery methodologiesSolid understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC) principlesProven excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-quality solutionsDemonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively raise critical issuesAbility to travel, if needed, based on business needs and permissible travel conditionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with other cloud platforms and data solutionsExperience working with healthcare claims, member, enrollment, or clinical dataKnowledge of data governance and compliance standardsFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
