Principal Data Platform Engineer

Owning the administration and performance of critical data and AI platforms, the full-time Principal Data Platform Engineer will manage Power BI, AtScale, and Databricks while ensuring reliability, cost optimization, and governance in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day management and health of enterprise data and AI platforms, including configuration and user support Establish monitoring and performance metrics, serving as the escalation point for platform-level incidents Implement governance and security standards across platforms, ensuring compliance with data residency and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications 8+ years in data platform engineering, platform administration, or analytics engineering 5+ years of experience with Databricks and Azure in production environments 5+ years administering enterprise analytics platforms, including Power BI Proven track record of optimizing costs on cloud data platforms Experience managing enterprise software vendors and establishing technical standards
