Personnel Supervisor I

Job TitleThe Personnel Supervisor I serves as a leader, coach and mentor to a staff of Personnel Specialists (PS) performing personnel, payroll and benefits transactions functions for full-time, part-time and intermittent employees.Duties include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing and assigning the PS an appropriate range of assignments, work, and training to ensure they gain experience in a variety of transactions areas; monitoring staff's daily assignments in order to comply with control agency laws, rules, bargaining unit contracts and departmental policies and procedures; responsible for ensuring staff meet all critical deadlines and work is performed completely and accurately; and evaluating work performance in order to prepare performance reports.The incumbent is expected to work cooperatively with peers and professional staff, and is expected to exercise good judgment, communicate effectively, and portray a professional and positive demeanor. In addition, the incumbent will maintain a work environment that is free of discrimination and harassment.This position is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a newly remodeled high-rise building.
