DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance or access control issues.
- Monitor entry points, common areas, and restricted spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor processing, and support established check-in and identification procedures.
- Support order at the location by providing clear directions, de-escalating tense interactions when possible, and following post orders related to resident services, public interactions, and/or after-hours activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
