Perioperative Business Associate

Perioperative Services Business Operations Manager

Under general supervision, responsible for the business operations functions in Perioperative Services including but not limited to surgical & procedural scheduling, charge capture and reconciliation, data validation, administrative services requiring the knowledge of departmental practices and procedures, supply and equipment order processing, and value analysis support. Fulfillment of the job duties may require the employee to have access to medication storage areas.

Education and Experience:

1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

2. Two years of prior administrative and business operations experience required including at least one of the following: a) Experience with automated scheduling systems or clinical information systems including medical terminology; b) Experience with inventory control, coordinating the supply of materials, and exposure to basic purchasing processes and procedures, six months of which must have been in a hospital or health care setting; c) general clerical and / or administrative experience. Previous O.R. experience preferred.

3. Experience in a business, professional office or health care environment is required.
