Recreation Clerk

Swim Pool Clerk (Recreation Clerk) Under direct supervision, the Clerk will provide public reception, collect admissions, prepare deposits, provide information and necessary services to the public at the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center and/or the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center. The Clerk will assist with reporting incidents and accidents, assist with general facility maintenance activities, and perform other duties as assigned. Weekends, holidays, and split shift work will be required. These duties are a representative example; position assignments may vary depending on the business needs of the department and organization. Abilities: Learn the organization, procedures, and operating details of the City department to which assigned; perform routine clerical work including maintenance of appropriate records and files; operate a variety of modern office equipment such as copy machines, computer terminals, etc.; verify and check files and data; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; understand and carry out oral and written directions; take a proactive approach to problem solving; and establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be at least 16 years of age, self-motivated, and have excellent public relations skills. Applicant must be able to perform simple math calculations, be responsible, dependable, and have the ability to work independently. Personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheets, and permitting software; 10-key calculator; copy machine; phone; fax machine. Desired Certification American Red Cross CPR and Standard First Aid. License Valid and appropriate California Driver License.
